I am the founder of LaLaZen and the creator of the Catartika™ Method. Allow me to provide you with an overview of my professional background. Originating from Italy, my lifelong passion for dance and the arts has driven my journey.
With over 30 years of experience in dance and art, coupled with 10 years as a psychotherapist, I have cultivated a unique skill set that formed the foundation of LaLaZen. In pursuit of expanding my expertise, I made the decision to relocate to the United States in 1996. Over the years, I have earned a B.A. in Dance, a B.A. in Psychology, an M.A. in Art History, an MSW (Master of Social Work), and obtained a clinical license as an LCSW.
Furthermore, I hold certification in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), specializing in the treatment of trauma, particularly the sexual abuse of minors. My psychotherapy practice encompasses both children and adults, spanning an extensive period of 10 years.
During my career journey, I came to a realization that there was an unaddressed void in the realm of dance, mental health, and art. My personal experiences with ongoing health challenges became the catalyst that fueled my passion to establish services that champion mental well-being through the transformative power of dance and the arts. And so, LaLaZen was born.
I hope you enjoy everything that
LaLaZen has to offer!
